Leonard believes in efficiency. Having started in the hardwood lumber business in 1999, he has seen major shifts in technology, product offerings and global demand.

One thing he knows to be true is that the market is ever changing. He strives to ensure Totem is at the forefront of technology, that they are constantly looking to new product lines and they are leaders when it comes to the environmental issues relevant to trade in wood products.

Leonard started his career with one of the country’s largest hardwood suppliers. After 5 years he left to start his own business and 4 years later in 2008 his company was acquired by Totem. Since then, he has developed markets in the U.S., Europe, Asia & Caribbean, focusing on both domestic and imported hardwoods. If you can’t find him in the office, your best bet is to try the golf course, one of Mt. Hood’s ski areas or one of Oregon’s many beautiful bodies of water.
